anyone know when the hoyt & mathews folks are going to release their new bows. I shot both the alpha x33 & lift 33 last december...bad mistake on my part because now i want a new bow. they were both really nice, just curious what anyone knows

I can't remember the exact date for the Mathews but it was sometime around mid November. Also if looking at carbon bows give the PSE Mach 34 or their new Mach 33 a try. I have a mathews V3 and V3X that I have used the last few years but the Mach 34 impressed me and is what I have been taking to the woods this season.

i will check that out! the problem with Hoyt, PSE, and Elite dealers nearby is that i dont trust them to work on bows. i've had a mathews since '05 and the guy i take it to has shot competition for team mathews so i trust him.
also curious about running a heavy insert or outsert to increase foc with new bow...
the thing that sucks is that all the new bows are so stinkin expensive! $1300 for bare bow is tough

Where I live there are only two shops that will work on them. One does an ok job the other I wouldn't trust to do anything on my bows. Because of this I bought a bow press and learned how to tune the bow and be able to work on them myself. Now I know a bow is tuned and set up the way I want it. It can be intimidating at first but after your learn a few things it isn't that bad.
