I have a Remington550-1 that will not eject spent shell. Seems to be stuck in the floating piece that allows for shot ammo. I did take it apart to clean but thought that it was assembled correctly, Ant ideas ?

Bad ammo would be my first assumption. I had a S&W 617 that there wasn't anything wrong with, but I got some Winchester (I think) ammo that was bad and would expand in the cylinder to where it was a bear to get out. It was just the ammo.

If shot with alot of shorts id scrub that chamber real good...
I don't have any experience with that model rifle but I agree what the others have said above. I'd give it a real good cleaning and lube and try some different ammo.

My first 22 was a Remington 550-1, it was rough on a lot of squirrels and other critters. Wish I still had it.
