Restocking Pond

No butt hurt at all. There's a recipe to do it right and then there are others that waste resources (both time and money).

The recipe i gave is good for the southeastern United States. It's good. Proven.

Last time i heard, Al Linder was not from Tennessee-

And Hank Parker only opens his mouth for a checkbook

I agree but like anything else in life....it takes a commitment to what you want to have. Imagine in a 3 acre lake....100 hybrid stripes and 100 largemouth bass....pure predators waiting with crappie breeding in the shallow water. The largemouth reigning over the 6'- and the hybrids in the 6'+. If you recall the TWRA fought against crappie in the Williamsport lakes for years....until local legend says....some guys dumped in a few 5 gallon bucket full of 10"+ specimen. The limit at Williamsport is 15.....far below the state standards and still 10". They aren't overtaking the ponds/lakes and are another resource for enjoyment. Everything takes time and effort to build. If you want to take your kids/grandkids out and catch fish....go to a pay pond. It is like vegetables....want them?....go to the grocery store...grow them....takes effort. I was offering an option to spend a little time and less money....which is why I thought he asked for help.

I didn't realize throwing a few fish in my old pond would cause so much butthurt.
It hasn't caused any butthurt to anyone...but opportunityand options.....it is a very simple thing. Do you want to drop a few fish in the pond and come back to catch monsters in a few years......that doesn't happen. It takes time and effort. There were/ponds here near my house that weren't the best for 8lb+ bass because of the owner....but because of luck. He offered payment to fish and people just happened take fish....even crappie from one of the 11 ponds of around an acre each. Sadly, those ponds were bought out and cleared around the edges for aesthetic value by the new owner. The 6'+ bass isn't there everyday, anymore. It is honestly not about who is right or wrong but what is it that you want to enjoy. Everything takes time and effort.....I went to a farm pond over "spring break" in Bellevue, Ohio in the 1990's....it was maybe 3/8 of an acre....we went home with 30 12"+ fish.....absolutely the best crappie breeding ground ever.
