Finding the C.O.A.L for different rifles is proving to be difficult.

Would you good folks care to list the C.O.A.L of your rifles in 223 Rem.
Mabe make a running list?

Get a Hornady gauge and the appropriate modified case and start measuring. Pretty simple to use
Every reloader should have a means of measuring COAL and CBTO, which I think is better than COAL. The ogive is what determines your jump, which is what the measurement is really trying to determine.

These with a set of repeatable* calipers will get you some very accurate rounds, maybe not competition accuracy but very very good.

* some people get wrapped up on expensive equipment (Brand Names), but if your equipment gives you the same measurement time after time on the same bullet, it is good enough.

That's a nice fancy case. I use mine often. And got the appropriate tap and make my own modified cases

I have the tap and die, but need to find a good way to hold the case, drilling out the head is difficult with hand tools, it needs a drill press or some type of jig for a vice to use a hand drill.

Edit: Case is 3d printed by a coworker.

I put mine in a lathe and drill the primer pocket. Then I turn the inside of the neck until a bullet slips in.

Lathe as nso said. A big drill chuck could work in a drill press as well
