road turkey hunting

I am not going to say it is road hunting.....but picture this, you have gotten up early and are working a bird that is hammering....and a hunter drives down the road and gets out, slams the door and calls...and your bird shuts up....how would you feel?

If it was public land not much I could do about it, but yes I would get mad. However, if you are not parked anywhere near where you are hunting and a truck stops by chance and hears the bird your working and goes after him could you be upset with the hunter? I dont think so, its just crap luck. Now if they see your truck and pursue the bird thats a whole different story.

Look up two posts. Chances are pretty good that he didn't just up and high tail it out of there.

Give him bit, and then start soft. But, be ready because he may show up unannounced.

This happens a lot at aedc. If a bird comes in after all that commotion he destined to die young.

I believe what would determine legal/illegal would be and is only read as how far from the road where you when you shot.

If you can kill one like this then have at it. I do agree that you might partially succeed at finding a few naive birds but probably be fully successful at spoiling a few hunter's days.

I understand the problem with wma. Large area difficult access but with the vast expanse of hunting land available to us, might it be easier to pick a spot with an apporpriate walk in area?

Also, I 100% say that by driving from locale to locale you miss out on ALOT of what hunting means to most and the great benefits of that. Seeing the creator through his creation for one.
