Not a whole lotta folks guiding for them anymore. When are you trying to go? I'd be happy to take you for free if we can make the dates work. If not I can at least get you pointed in the right direction.

I've tried to convince my brother to start guiding for them but he never seems very interested even though he'd be good at it.

folks used to wear the sauger/saugeye out in headwaters of Douglas. i've heard nothing since the flooding from Helene on the Nolichucky and French Broad. last i saw it was a "no contact with the water" posting. makes it hard to fish/duck hunt.

yeah the last couple of years has been great. i only worry about all the large females taken out of the system and will it hurt populations again.

i think years of heavy flooding and turbidity has helped them come back.
