saw something new (for me anyway)

Nothing too cool, but i thought it was odd that I saw it this morning on the way to work and then this PM on the way home. Jakes or Toms roosting/sitting on three board wooden Farm fences in two different areas. Is this normal. i've never seen it before and thought it was odd to see it 2x in one day.

We used to have some tame turkeys that would roost on the fence around the hog lot.

I've seen them fly up on a wooden fence and sit there and strut for a while but never roost overnight.

No I'm sure they were turkey. Especially the second set, they weren't but 40 yds from the road. some were on the ground and some were on the fence. I don't think any of them roosted overnight there, but they were just sitting up there watching the others.
