Scentlok clothing

Not worth the full price, but generally most the lines that offer scentlok are pretty decent to good quality and when on clearance would be worth it. But a deer is still going to smell you whether you are wearing scentlok or Wally world cheapo.

Maybe give it the ole fart check. if you can't smell a fart in it, than it's working. If you can smell a fart, than it's not worth a crap! I'd bet it's along the latter.

In before the stupid fart check…ooops.

If your looking for quality made clothing and found it for a good price yes it's worth it.

Is it magic? No. Deer can still smell. Is it better than wearing the same clothes you wore to the bar Saturday night? Yes.

If you don't believe it works. You've either never owned any scent loc or never cared for it properly.
Put a jacket or pants in a tote with something, in my case I had an earth scent wafer. Then let it sit over night. When open the tote tomorrow you will only be able to smell the earth scent wafer on the inside of the clothes.

I've had good success with it over the last 10 years. I don't dress until I get to the woods and keep it in an air tight container. I believe scent control is an all or nothing deal. I did speak to one of the developers of Scent Lok years ago and he told me that it doesn't eliminate scent 100%. Nothing does. He said it was designed for the deer to get an amount of scent signature that makes them believe you are 200 yards away and not 20 yards away. Makes sense. He said it was very important to place it in the dryer for 30 minutes after a few hunts to reactivate the charcoal. It does not need to be washed after every outing.

Did not know about that. I usually let mine hang dry thinking the dryer might damage the charcoal. Thanks for the info.

The dryer activates the charcoal
That's what they say. But I'm not certain the charcoal can be reactivated at all at the temperature of a clothes dryer. If you read about what temperature it takes to reactivate charcoal, you'd be shocked how hot they say you need to heat it.

This is the primary reason I think this clothing is a gimmick,
