This is supposed to be current.

You know Heupel is about to get a huge raise. Wonder where he'll fall in the pecking order?

Funny that you should bring that up. :) https://atozsports.com/nashville/national-cfb-reporter-lists-josh-heupel-tennessee-vols-michigan/
SOME MIGHT SCOFF AT THIS BUT HEUPEL WILL GET A CALL. WILL HE BE MICHIGAN'S NEXT HEAD COACH? UNLIKELY. BUT HE'D BE FOOLISH NOT TO LISTEN.

ONLY THE MOST FAITHFUL AND DELUSIONAL OF ORANGE CLAD INDIVIDUALS WOULD SAY TENNESSEE IS A BETTER JOB THAN MICHIGAN. THE WOLVERINES' POSITION IS BETTER THAN ALMOST ALL OTHER JOBS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. HEUPEL HAS DONE GREAT AT UCF AND TENNESSEE, AND HE WILL NOT BE SHORT OF SUITORS FROM THE MOST ELITE OF SCHOOLS.[/center]
I wouldn't put much stock in this Heupel/Michigan talk. But that doesn't change that Tennessee needs to quickly work out an extension for Heupel to make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the SEC.

If Lane chokes on 5 of the last 6 games and gets 9 mil I'd guess Heupel will get that if not more. That said they're all overpaid period. Heck the new OC for UT was getting $400k to be quarterback coach. Think about that! I'm in the wrong business.

Being a private institution, Vandy doesn't report coach's salaries. But it was rumored that Lee was signed at $5 mil/yr.
