SEC Network not nice to TN or Vandy...

The Tennessee Volunteers face nine teams on their 2014 football schedule that played in the postseason a year ago, making head coach Butch Jones' team's slate arguably the toughest in the nation. If they have a winning season.... They will be Bowl eligible.
Lot's of young talent on this team ..I think they will be real good... or .... struggle.

I saw where we were the only team replacing all of def. and off. lines, and have the 2nd ranked hardest schedule. Odds are deffinately stacked against us with such a young team. Most people know this year will be a success with .500, knowing next year we will be contending.

They predicted UT at 5-7 and Candy at 4-8... :(

Glad they got it right with FL at 9-3... :)

Believe they picked Florida to win 10 games in 2013,we all know how that turned out!lol!!!

thats not too shabby, but not an excuse for losing. we should be better this year in several areas

The Vols can be better in several areas, and still struggle to be bowl eligible with that schedule.

Missouri will be the game to determine that imo.

I hope they are wrong about the DORES!
They are! They don't have them winning an SEC game :D
they will at least win one. Ole miss, miss st., vols, and Kentucky are all games that can be won. Uk SHOULD be a definate w. The DORES will have a solid defense and running game, if the passing game is decent, could be a good season for the new coach. A bowl game would be cool for d mason in his first season.

Agreed. You never know which teams will be injury-ridden again. Like last year, no one in mid-august predicted vandy to beat UT and FL and GA

Had FL winning 9 last season but season predictions can't factor in injuries. UT is facing the same battle with both lines because of lack of Depth. UT is thin in the trenches and injuries could play a big factor on how the season turns out. UTs hoping that both lines can hold up and give them a shot to make .500. UT just had a DT mess his leg up in Saturdays scrimmage.

ya but sooner or later we gotta quit crying about being young and having a tough schedule.

per Rivals...
2012 #17 class
2013 #21 class
2014 #5 class
2015 currently #8 in the 2015 class

thats not too shabby, but not an excuse for losing. we should be better this year in several areas, if not.....lord help us.

Mark it down that we agree......

These schedules are made in years in advance..... No ones knows how good these non-conference teams will be when that season rolls aground. Look at what happen to FL when they lost to power house wing-T Ga. So...... :D

Also years past UT fans wouldn't be worried about Utah State even if they were 10-0 last season. It's a bigger deal now because UT is down.
