SEC QB Ratings Week 12!!

Joshua Dobbs came up first on a list in week 12 of the season for play worthy of being there. Why do you guys feel the need to jump on that? My statement about BS was just a jab at your heisman comment. The guy can go as far as he's willing to work for.

You're reading way too much into the post. All college teams have many more players that don't make it to the NFL than do, all of them. You asked a question that can't be answered just yet.

I didn't see any slam of Dobbs. One sarcastic comment from a Vandy fan saying he's a Heisman contender is jumping on him? Don't be so sensitive. Dobbs has been a breath of fresh air to the vols and everyone knows it. I didn't mention Dobbs, so you'll have to find a Vandy player to disparage. That shouldn't be too tough, although I couldn't name any on their roster.

Sorry Hangnail, looks like I jabbed the wrong guy this time. When I saw this, I posted the drive thru comment and then you responded to it so I rolled with it. It wasn't even you. My bad.
 
I thought it was Mudbone, who is a Vandy fan, I think. I see now it was BamaProud. Makes sense, other than he hasn't posted again to catch the spears heading his way. :)
 
If it wasn't for coach Lyle, the vols would have a Heisman candidate.
Credit the vols crappy oline for their recent success. If it wasn't for them, Worley would still be playing, and the vols would still be losing.
Dobbs for Heisman.

It was Mudstick who made the first Heisman comment and then BamaProud followed suit with his.

The oline is only slightly improved now than when Worley was in. Worley held the ball too long and was not mobile. Dobbs maneuvers well and throws the ball quicker.

Coach Lyle saw enough talent in his senior QB Worley to let him try to lead this team in his final season. In the meantime he gains an extra year of eligibility with Dobbs.

In short, he didn't want the Heisman campaign to start until next year. :smile:

IMO Oline hasn't improved its just Dobbs makes it look that way. Defenses cant pin their ears back and bull rush the qb anymore. They have to play gap sound and try contain a mobile qb, so that means Dobbs moves around more rather than sitting back waiting for a progression. Him moving around makes it look like the oline is getting better. Put Worley back in and they look like they did before Dobbs. IMO nowadays you need a mobile QB
 
^^^^^^ winner winner chicken dinner..... Well im sure a team that played Oklahoma (on the road), UGA (on the road), Bama,Ole miss (on the road).
Im sure the young guys learned a few trick as the season went on and they got a LITTLE better.But all you have too do is look at the sack numbers with Worley then with dobbs its crazy the o-line didnt just get that good over night. If a team brought pressure worley was a fish outta water dead. Dobbs can move brake a tackle and still throw or run thats why are sack #'s have went way down.look at all the good teams and even the real good teams in yhe past few years 90'/, had a moBile

Ive said that since he first played vs. Bama and he only took 1 sack worley would have took 5 or 6 if you go back and look how many times he takes off and runs or moves around brakes a tackle and still able to throw. Instead of taking a sack like Worley would have done

Look at Oregon, Ohio st. and Mississippi st., FSU I know we dont like him but how many times has ole Winston made nothing into a TD using his legs?
All good teams with good mobile QB's and the list goes on and on 90'/, of good teams in college have a mobile QB

Been busy with other stuff. I just think the Vol fans are a little overly optimistic...but my opinion is as irrelevant as the next guys is. Maybe the Vols will win the East next year because of their #5 recruiting class...but I doubt it.

^^^then who you think is so much better then the vols there gonna win the east? Florida? Mizz?
I im not saying the vols are gonna win it or should win it but besides maybe Georgia who got beat down by florida and will be replacing a monster HB and there starting QB.
I think UT has just as good a shot as anyone else next year.
I think the east is wide open next year there not gonna be a team go 12-0 or 11-1. There for a min people thought florida was gonna win it this year lol!
And vol fans are not over happy cause they have a shot at the east next year there happy cause there getting better if the vols win 8 games next year they would be happy no matter what. Cause they improved and thats all u can ask for year to year after all the bad luck the vols have had

^^^^ yup your right 100'/, but you just made are point who is to say the vols cant or wont or not going to win the east next year They might be picked to finish 3ed and finish 1st happens alot in college football. I think they will be in the top 2 in the sec east at the end of season JMO.
The only team in the east I would say has the beat shot as of now to win the east next year ahead of the vols would be UGA. They won games with out todd and looked good doing so. And there QB is not all that anyways and they have a top recruiting class coming in 2015
I dont think MIZZ will win 9 or 10 they could I just dont see it. Florida they will get back to winning just dont see it right away next year.
