Seems downright irresponsible to me

I generally like Dr. Woods but this is a bit much.

It's crazy. I shoot tss to get a better pattern in a lower recoil, lighter firearm. I will say that I think it has cost me a bird or two in brush, so I moved from a .410 to a 20.

I don't have any desire to shoot a turkey that far. In a clear area, I would shoot up to 50, but try to set up so the shots are inside 30-35 yards.

For years I carried a single shot 12 ga H&R and limited out several times with Longbeards XRs.

Saw another YouTuber advertising 410 at 65 yards
once you go past 35 to 40 yds (IMHO) you need to quit pretending that you are turkey hunting and just use a rifle. they pattern SO much better "way out yonder"... i thought the idea was to set up & call them into a close-range encounter, not see how far off you could kill one.

Let me guess, Winchester is a sponsor of Dr. Woods?

There's no way in hades I'm clicking on a video with a title like that.
Yeah they sponsor him, Winchester is late to the TSS game but anyone who is sponsored by them will do whatever they tell them to keep it I imagine. Some of the video titles I've seen recently are just a little ridiculous. And some of the ones I've seen should never been put on YouTube it's really a shame what it's become

I have usually enjoyed reading information that Dr. Woods has put out but this is ridiculous. The number of people in the turkey hunting world who sell out to this type of idea drives me crazy. Turkey hunting for myself is something I enjoy the most and I will always enjoy the hunt and interaction with the birds. Killing them is very secondary to myself and others I am sure.

right or wrong its just the way hunting in general has been trending for years now. Archery has moved further and further out, huge rise in long range rifle shooting so people have moved out their range on deer to much further then 90% of people can shoot.

Turkey hunting has been going that way for years as well. Its now cool to shoot one at 60yds vs the old days where people would just make fun of you about it.

I accepted long ago that the turkey hunting I love and cherish will never be that again, and thats ok because I honestly feel sorry for those that never got to really understand what it was really meant to be. I just surround myself with friends that have the same mentality as me and pass down the tradition of true turkey hunting to my kids in hopes it stays alive for a few more generations.

Reading the responses here it's good to know I'm not alone in my opinion.

While I didn't watch the video just looking at the pattern in the image above...it's basically a body-shot load at that distance. That pattern is bigger than a garbage can lid so any other adjacent birds are dead too. People that engage in this foolishness could kill multiple birds (illegal), hens (illegal), and wound birds that wander off to die with a pellet or 3 in the gut (wanton waste).

Pitching this as a viable 70yd load is unethical.
