ok so your just questioning his sanity then lol not hard to know if you saw poults or not imo :D

Ha, you would be surprised what people think are poults.

I got a call in college to come help "relocate" a clutch in a ladies flower bed, when I got there they were baby bunnies, and her husband the avid turkey hunter of the family asked her to call the university to get some help.

The author of this thread stated early this spring that a hen can store "semen" for years. Which is incorrect.

If I can find the book its written in I will tak a pic of that for you.

A 3 second google search will provide you with several scientific write ups which prove your ignorance.

You can call me a moron if it makes you feel better, personal attacks really don't bother me much.

Does it make you feel better to call him a liar?

Never called him a liar, read above I was very clear yesterday evening when I stated that I was not calling him a liar.

Yep, me told you where this thread was headed. Same song 2'nd verse.

I seriously would love to see some evidence of poults this early. Please someone get some pictures, because it would cause many states to reconsider things, and be reason for us in the scienftic community to rethink some of our research.

A "scientist" demands to see proof in the form of pictures of an unusual happening or he refuses to believe that they actually happened. Yet this same scientist has recounted his turkey killing prowess time after time on this forum, but we don't recall seeing the first pictorial evidence of these happenings, as in the scientist's picture with a turkey that he has killed. Sounds to us as if his telling of these tales must be just that, telling of tales, since these events, fail to stand the test of being facts by his own standards as in NO PICTURES.

I aint seen a turkey poult in lawrence county, tennessee in 6 years :( ....... Just sayin

If you can, set up a trail camera in that area to try and get a picture.

I'm no expert, but it could be possible a first year hen began the incubation period before she was finished laying eggs, especially since she only had 5 poults. Who knows...

I caught one in my mil yard yesterday a royal or maybe its a slate I believe. One of the white ones

Okay, you got me I have never killed a turkey. Just keep telling yourself that, and it will prove to be reality.

Whatever makes you feel better.

How many you want to see?

Nice turkey but for all everyone knows your uncle Willie or Harold Knight could have killed it. From a scientist's point of view, just a picture of a dead turkey does not prove that you killed it. A picture of you holding a dead turkey gets closer. Obviously, everyone but you accepts what someone on this forum says about what they saw, without their having to prove it to your satisfaction with pictures! And if you don't believe it, why not just do the polite thing and keep your doubts to yourself, without at least implying that the person is lying?

And you're correct, I did "get you". But not over whether you have or have not kill nine thousand three hundred and eight turkeys or none, but the fact that you are holding everyone else to a different proof standard than you hold yourself.

I can say for certain that the birds were a full 2 weeks ahead of schedule this year on my farms in middle TN. Yes, we had a few birds setting at opener, which would put hatch anytime now. Many, many other hens were already laying by the season opener... which again is very unusual in itself on my properties. I don't know why our birds are ahead of those in other parts of the country, but in middle TN, they are.

It made for the easiest season opener hunting wise I've ever seen. I mean, really, it was so ridiculously easy, that I just couldn't let others keep killing on my farms, it was almost like cheating. Of course, it's pretty much over now and the last two weeks will be worthless. Most mature hens are already on nest, and the only female birds out and about are the jennies and hens that have to renest. Gobblers are already losing interest in spring breeding.

I could have kept quiet, and would have but have been hearing uninformed folks talk for months about how everything is going to be early because of the early warm up we had. If it hadn't been for that talk back in March and early April, than I wouldn't have said a word, maybe just asked if there were any pics.

Doubting I haven't killed turkeys over the years is a whole lot different than claiming something that has never been documented in the past. The two couldn't be further from the same.

Personally and I would say most would agree with this, I would never claim something radical without photographic evidence to back it up, that is just me however. I understand that this is a world where evidence is required to prove a point, and without evidence than there is no case for the bizarre.

And no you didn't "get me", if you think you did, than congrats hope it makes it your year.

well if you do a google search you will see plenty of pics of bigfoot. just sayin hahahah. I aint calling anyone a liar because i wasnt there but part of me agrees with Setterhook atleast his stance on people really trying to make a connection to the warm weather and breeding patterns.

How did someone get a naked picture of me, before I started doing a little more grooming?

I think it's a shame that so much time is wasted hanging out in a chat room trying to convince people you don't know how much smarter you are than them. Some of you are just way too gifted intelligence wise to be hanging out here with us dummy dumb dumbs. The world needs you, get off the computer in your moms basement and put that knowledge to use.
