I will be using broadheads for turkey season this year, where is the best placement to shoot the turkey? Also, can you hunt from a treestand or is it better to hunt from a blind?
There are some really good shot placement diagrams on the net.
I prefer to shoot the bird broadsided, hit the turkey exactly where the wing connects to the body. 2nd best shot placement is when the gobbler is facing directly away from you, arrow straight in the bung
Just wait a few years before some company comes up with a 12" 4-bladed mechanical broadhead gimmick and then you can have your bird quartered and ready to go.
In seriousness I would like to take one with a bow sometime too. Not till I have practiced a lot more though.
