Shotgun Question

So I have several night vision devices that I use for hogs here and in other states. Most of mine are rated for a .308. Do you think if I mounted one on my shotgun it would ruin it? Would you even take a chance?

Right now my plan is to just put a flashlight on the gun and use the Thermal for scouting and observation.

Many night vision or thermals are not rated for the recoil of a 12g. You should talk to the manufacturer
