I have a notion to try my hand at this. I've reloaded metallic for 30 years but never tried shotshell. I bought an old Lee Classic 10 gauge mallet style loader. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have several 10 gauges but will start on an H&R single shot. It has been cut to 20 inches so there is no choke just cylinder bore. Fury makes a 1 1/2 oz. slug. Ye olde 10 gauge slug sounds interesting. I've fired the Federal slugs and they are brutal but fairly accurate.

What's the simplestroute to take?????

For your application i'd recommend finding a great ortho Dr that specializes in shoulder reconstruction. 🤣🤣 learn on a 20 or 28 then play with the 10. Test firing a single shot 10 G with slugs to work up a load sounds miserable.
