Got some 110 gr Tipped Game Kings for 25-06 coming, H4350 H4831 H1000 IMR 4350 IMR 4831 IMR 7828.
Hoping to get 3200 fps and less than half inch groups. It's been a while since I fooled with the 25-06 but I think those are reasonable goals.
Probably start with the H4831 and go from there.

I'm using the 140's in my 6.5 PRC. Easily got sub .5" @ 200yds. Shot a doe last year at ~75yds with typical cup/core performance. dropped instantly. Core punched through, jacket was found under the skin on the far side. About what I expected at that velocity and range.

I recently ordered a Weatherby Vanguard in 25-06. so I've been doing a bit of research lately with the thought of possibly reloading for it. With that bullet weight and a 24 inch barrel, 3200 fps seems to be a very reasonable velocity to shoot for. I've been focusing on the 110 gr Nosler AccuBond. I'd be interested to see your results once you get going with it.

My barrel is gonna be a Bartlien 1-10 26",, I hope to get started next couple weeks anyway

Tell us about the build.
It was my first ever rifle. A prefix Rem 700 BDL 25-06. It's been abused since 78 and haven't shot it in 10 years

Guys at Bugholes blueprinted the action , pinned a .250 recoil lug to it , put a M16 extractor on it and installed the Bartlien bbl,, its stainless and only way to finish it all was to have it cerakoted in midnight blue. Soon as the cerakote is done I'll have it back.

I got a pristine BDL Walnut stock period correct to use on it also.

I have the old Redfield 6x wide view scope that was on it new and a gloss 3.5-10 Leupold

I'm pretty sure that's gonna be an easy goal,, I've shot a crap load of 100 gr bullets through a 25-06 with IMR 4831 at 3425 fps. It was the only rifle I owned until I was 30 years old

That's us in 1983

It's a shame they don't make a tmk or eldm in 257 for the 1:10 twist rifles.
I started to get a 7.5 but this has always been my max point blank range deer rifle and decided to just keep it that way. Point and shoot to about 350
I got other stuff I can dial up and get way out there with

But a proper tmk or eldm would still be a good max point blank option. Really has less to do with dialing and more to do with liking those bullets for killing.

What makes the match bullets better for hunting than the hunting bullets. I'm not against trying anything. Well almost anything , Lol
They expand more violently. At least the tipped versions tend to. Not sure what the deal with the old amax is but it seems they're less predictable, you may get one that "explodes" or you may get one that pencils thru. The tmk and eldm expand pretty reliably. I think they tend to try too hard to keep the "hunting" tipped bullets to hold together that it hurts them, while the tipped match bullets just need to be accurate, and not spin the jackets off. But in the end, they've made a pretty good hunting bullet. Quite a bit of info out there on people using them.

I been using the Berger 130 VLD hunting bullet in my 6.5x47 and I really like those, but they say the 115 VLDH in .257 is just marginally stable in a 10 twist is why I'm gonna try these 110s first
