SMOKE #1

I'm sure he'll get fined for the comment. I don't really like tony and didn't want to see him win, but I guess thats better than Montoya winning.

You are probably correct about a fine for the comment. I still say....families watch the races at home.....there should be a 10-15 second delay for on air viewers.....just like the comment made over the radio at California when Kyle Petty and Matt got together...... ESPN coverage isnt too good anyway, so I suppose a delay viewing may be asking too much!

Joe Gibbs just might wash his mouth out with soap.

Not saying he won't get it, but a fine isn't as likely as it once was. The FCC loosened their restrictions on foul language a few months ago.

I don't know where the nick-name "Smoke" came from, but if he keeps growing, the name will change to "Smoked FatbackChopsAndJowl."

Either he is turning into Jimmy Spencer's little brother, or he's looking for a sponsorship from Jenny Craig.

For the record there are a lot worse things he could have said. I think BS is pretty mild. He he speaks the truth his fans put up with more bashing then any others.

What "truth" does he speak? His fans put up with bs?!?!?!?!? Any wonder as to why? We're talking about a people here who have the mentality of being amused, and then impressed, and then proud of the premeditated use of 1 stinking curse word.

If he thinks his fans put up with BS, they should be so lucky. GOod thing NONE of them are bright enough to figure out how the rest of the world views them day in and day out.

Leave it to Stewart to create a base of fans who make JR fans seem tactful and classy.

Well look at it this way. It could be worse. They could be people that like to stir up people on a talk forum by saying things about them that they would never say to the group face to face. :D

;)
You should see me at the Charlotte track. My family always starts the day by saying "your mouth, your battles!"

I say about the same stuff, but never have any ill feelings back towards me. Must be cause of my personality and smile? :D

Seriously,
You should read some of the stuff Stewart fans are posting tonight. Acting like he's some kind of hero cause he cursed on TV. I guess winning wasn't good enough for him, he did it too clean, he must have needed to dirty it up somehow to feel better about himself.

It bothers me to cause instead of the news all week discussing his domination of one of the years biggest races, they'll be discussing one single word he chose to use and the ramifications for it.

I would love to have that dudes talent and position in life.

I have liked Stewart for his driving ability , but I cringe when he does interviews . He is a jerk to put it mildly and PG rated .
Harvick is the biggest cry baby in NASCAR though . He was a little upset with Tony after the race ,and with his car during the race . He left the track trying to escape the reporters .

I forgot about that, so he might not have a problem. The FCC might not get involved, however, it'll be interesting to see if Nascar allows the word.

Either way, I still dont care for Tony. He just said it to try and be a "bad boy" for his fans.

Tony does have a lot of driving ability and a he!! of a pit crew to give hima car and get him to the front, as long as he keeps his head on straight. You just knew Harvick and Tony was going to get together as hard as they where going at it. I was surprised thay didn't take each other out because they both have hot heads. I don't care for listening to any of his post race interviews. His comments really makes him look like a smart @ss and a jerk at times.

I thought it was an exciting race ,even though I didn't care for the post race interview . He was even a prick when they asked him about climbing the fence .
I like Tony as a driver , but it's hard to be a fan when he is an a-hole .

He claims he's a prick in most instances because the media gives him a hard time. he fails to see that the reason why the media gives him a hard time is because he's a prick.

Tony and Harvick had been beating on each other for several laps. Harvick is just pissed cause he got the worst of it.

I didn't think Tony cussed all he said was BULLSH1T. Heck I say it all the time it's just another word. I guess it's just how or where you were raised
So what would actually be a cuss word in your book?

I wasn't offended,
But he's still wrong. He chose a word he knew they would talk about. He did it completely on purpose. And now his fans think he's somehow a better man for it.

Im more impressed by folks actions than their words. Guess thats why IM not a fan of his anymore.

Same here . As much as I used to be a fan of his , it's hard to root for buttholes like him anymore .I guess some folks can identify with that type of personality . Not me .
I hate to say it , but I have noticed the maturity that Dale Jr. has displayed the last couple of months . He handles himself well with the constant media attention .Car blows up and he steps out a little disappointed , but no big deal . Tony would have been a jerk .

I dont think Tony cussed for his fans to think he was a bad boy....he did it for the haters to have something else to talk about....this post has gotten more attention from his cussing than his win...Just glad to see Tony doesnt stand after a race looking at his cars decals thanking all them, doing the routine act like the couple other front runners. Man you guys on here really are going to have a rough rest of the season... where there is fire there is SMOKE and he is white hot now...lookout HMS.....smells like to beginning of abother series championship to me?
