Someone explain why TENNESSEE is so expensive to deer hunt….

For OLD out of state farts.

Now that I live in SC but I'm coming to my son's home this week to hunt on his property. It will cost me at a minimum $200 for a 7 day license! So if I hunt just one day…$200! There is no discount as well for over 65. I got an invite to go to Jackson county in December to a friends place and that would cost me another $200! There is no annual non resident.

I mean did TWRA bottle feed these deer to charge this much?
Before you get too bent outta shape go hunt Illinois and Kentucky as non-resident then come back and enjoy the rates in Tennessee

well all of them are driving brand new $50.000 + trucks. so there is that!! meanwhile im still driving my 16 yr old truck to work!!! and i dont make $75,000+ a year!! can any one tell me who pays for the nice fancy trucks??

The vehicles are purchased by the State of TN through the Dept. of Motor Vehicle Management.

TWRA leases the vehicles from MVM. MVM has total control of the replacement schedule.

Try again for something else to whine about.

The State of Tennessee is also not paying MSRP for their vehicles - not even close to it. Fleet purchases are a fraction of retail purchases.

Correct!

And, ALL of the TWRA officers are not in a brand new vehicle. MVM has a scheduled replacement so they don't buy a whole fleet at one time.

Just a stupid post (not this one), but, not surprising, considering the source.

The "almost" majority of IL is as red as TN. Unfortunately, the liberal hellhole of Chicago counteracts that enough to have the power to make the laws. Unfortunately, I can see the same for TN in the future with Mempiss and Nashvegas.

The good people of Central and Southern Illinois are good conservative people, just like here in Tennessee. But unfortunately the three counties that make up "Chicagoland" are nearly half the population.

The more jobs we lose, or the more the population grows without an increase in jobs, the more people will vote democrat.
