Someone explain why TENNESSEE is so expensive to deer hunt….

This forum is for asking questions of TWRA personnel. Threads in this forum are not open for debate. Personal opinions and debate are not allowed in this forum and are subject to deletion.
I have been told that not the case anymore. I think a long time ago a current member was TWRA personnel and was answering questions. But he quit/retired.

So now apparently you can post anything you want. 🤣
I could be wrong though, I've been wrong before.

What's that have to do with what I posted? This isn't a TWRA forum and has nothing to do with hunting fees or taxes. It's paid for by the private owners and supporting members like me.

Man what a benefit that was. Don't miss it til it's gone! Got some really good info in these TWRA threads. Heck most of the time I'd ask a question get feedback on the forum then A lot of times I'd get a pm explaining it farther or if they help me get what I needed.
Thank you TWRA guys that did invest their time in to this forum.

If your talking about infoman he passed several years ago.
When TWRA personnel did answer questions there were some that liked to dispute the answers. It wasn't worth the effort.
And most of the time TWRA personnel posted on their own time. I figure I was owed somewhere between 5-7 years back pay for all the phone calls and questions I was asked on my personal time. My wife deserved pay as well for answering the home phone especially when numbers were published in the hunting guides.

Actually if you figure about 8 hours a week for 37 years at 240 work days a year it comes out to over 8 years.

Thats not who I was talking about. The person I thought had been a TWRA Officer is still posting here, so it may not be him. It's not important, apparently they don't have a TWRA Officer that wants to volunteer to answer questions.

As far as disputing it, it's no different than cops or former cops giving thier interpretations of the law, or what happens on traffic stops, or probable cause for searches, etc.

Those discussions are good though and give those who have the ability to separate out the BS from those who may actually know what they are talking about.

As someone who worked as a street cop in criminal law I can say that it appears to be much easier to understand and more common sense than hunting laws.
