Hi everyone, new members here. (Myself and my 8yr old step son).

We went to the indoor range yesterday for the first time and I let him melt the barrel on the .22 that I've had for years. I even let him throw 2 rounds out of my 12 gauge.

He is totally hooked! He's never shot a real gun or hunted for that matter. I just know how much it ment to me for my dad to get me out in the woods so... it's my turn now! We can't wait.

I totally agree. He was pretty shocked about the 12 gauge. I had 8 shot in it and he says "ouch... ouch... it hurts... does your 7mm hurt that bad"... my answer... "you'll see" HA HA

I'm so excited. My 13 year old daughter is wanting to hunt this year. Got her the hunter safety course and she has been shooting my Savage Model 24 20 ga. She handles it pretty good and is accurate at 35 yards. That's about as far as she will be able to shoot anyway where we hunt.
