My buddy's grandson killed a 6 point on South Ocoee this morning.

Close to Jack's River? I heard a shot in the direction the buck walked off about 20 minutes later. Figured somebody killed him. Regardless Congrats to the boy!

Looking at buying a property near the hydro plant on Parksville lake; it borders public land - is there good hunting in that general area?

Really good hog population in that area, deer can be hit or miss. There's deer on South Cherokee but they may not be one within 5 miles of your property at any given time.
