Speaking of tough deer

That's a she not a he ( yes I know it's 2023 )
Lol. I believe his "he" parts are hidden. If it is a she the it was not the deer I shot. And then if that's also the case then now I feel bad again because he may have walked off somewhere and died, unrecovered. This is a picture of the deer im taking about, and that i actually did shoot in 2020.

No way that first one is a head shot, it looks like it goes around to the bottom of the neck. He was either in a fence, or a fight. That second one doesn't look like it could be the same animal, the skin would not heal like that, it would have to be sutured to come back together in any form.

This was about 3 weeks after the pic with the open wound.
 
Shot with a bow I am guessing. Buddy killed a doe years back and it opened her up similar. His arrow slightly made contact with a limb deployed the rage and wicked gash ear to shoulder blade, nicked the artery though.
 
Seen this one this summer in the yard I figured a bad shot by a bow
