Spot hogg sites

I hate the little wire that runs vertically thru their sites. It just looks like one little twig would rip it right off! I personally prefer the hha single pin adjustable sights!

I have the Hogg-It on my 3D bow and the Hunter Hogg-It on my hunting bow. I couldn't be any happier with either of them. The wire is an excellent tool to make sure your pins are perfectly aligned. I would recommend getting the wrapped versions of the sights. The micro-adjust of these sights are great and make sighting in a breeze. These are built rock-solid and their customer service is outstanding. These are excellent sights and a great company.

I'm more of a fan of single pin moveable sites for hunting . They don't offer one that I know of . If they did , it would probably cost more than my bow . :D

I looked at some today while working at a archery shop. They looked like good solid sights to me. However, I don't like that wire at all. I didn't look at them close enough to see if it served a real purpose or not. If it didn't the first thing I would do if I bought a set would be cut it out.

I promise you that you don't need to cut that wire. It is for aligning the pins horizontally. It doesn't affect your ability to focus on the target.

I agree. Ive been hunting and shooting 3d with the hogg-it for 3-4 years now and actually had to go and check and see if the wire was still there. I dont notice it at all.

I've shot them for the last several years. In the past I have always ended up selling them for the "latest and greatest" sights, and then ended up buying the ole Spot Hogg again. Everyone around here shoots Sword sights for 3D and I had one and I did like it, but there's just not many that can compare with the Hogg It for 3D pin shooting.

They use to be really pricey...but if you've looked online or at the archery catalogs lately, they are actually priced like everything else, if not a little bit cheaper than some of them I saw in the '09-'10 Lancaster catalog. That wire will be something you wont even notice when you shoot.

The ONLY complaint I've ever had on the Spot Hoggs, was the brightness of the pins. They are dull looking compared to the brighter fiber optics of others. BUT that was fixed with the wrap addon. I saw one in the shop a few months back and it is amazing how much brighter the pins are with the wrap.

I gave $130 new for the Hogg It I bought earlier this year. I got it cause it was the "demo" model.

I'd check on ArcheryTalk and pick me one off there...great deals on used equipment there, that is almost brand new.
