Squirrel Hunting Guide

Hunters have trained and hunted with dogs for a long time before GPS. It's nice to have but not mandatory.

Just watch for scams if you are buy used. Probably more folks tryin to rip you off than actually selling legit.

I wouldn't consider it necessary for a trained squirrel dog. They usually hunt within sight of you and check back in often. Now if he's not well trained and leaves the country on a deer race you'll probably be wishing you had a collar on him. If there's a major highway involved it might save your dogs life. My bob dog opens on a big game track and if I'm not hunting bear or hog I can call him off with my voice. But you have to know your dog and he has to be trained.

One of TNDEER's long time members retired back home to Florida. His family has a hunting store specializing in dog gear. Ask for Bruce and tell him the TNDEER guys Sent you.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and bought the Tractive tracker. My dog does good in our front yard but will take off after an animal.
