Stick and String Birds: Anybody Bow Hunting Them?

I have a couple of friends that have tracks of land that might be open to bow only. Just waiting on the word...

I killed my first bird ever last year and I did it with a bow. It was a blast. I just got a BPS Enigma Hub Style blind and a Primos Jake and Hen combo and went out several times until I scored.

if i'm hunting alone i can sit all day in the blind watching turkeys. however, sometimes my buddy gets antsy and we have to go run and gun.

I have decided this year (2012) from now until the end of this years deer seasons I will only use my bow and nothing else. My wife says I say this every year but, I am going to stick with it this year. I have found that even a doe killed with a bow at less than 30 yards seems to mean more to me than any buck at 150 yards with a rifle.

So yes I will be chasing the birds with a bow only.

I've been bow only for several years. Missed one last year and the year before! Sure was exciting though.

I have taken 4 with a bow. I'll be out there this spring in Mo toting my bow . Best way to kill them is with a ground blind , but you really have to be dialed into a spot where they like to move through , especially when they get henned up .

their a blast to hunt with a bow. took me 7 tries before I connected.
