Im looking to buy one and I found one that fits the Hoyt Alpha Max for a great deal , but I shoot a Mathews Q2XL. Saw online where the Alpha max brace height is 7" and My Q2XL online says 7 1/2". BUt I just put a tape on my Matthews from the string to where the string stopper would be and it was only 7". Just wondering if anyone who has some experience with string stoppers could tell me if this might work. I believe all of the threads are the same size , but i am not sure about that either. The one I am looking to buy is made by Hi-Tek. Thx

Measure your brace height. That is the low point of your grip + 1 1/2 inches. That is what you are comparing. Not the distance from the mount base threads to the string. The bend or curve in the handle will change the measurement. So go by brace height for an apples to apples comparison.

Also check to make sure your string has not stretched and lowered you B/H by a half an inch.
