Please descend on the Clinch above 61 bridge and lay waste to the beasts that have infested the river. The river is absolutely loaded with 40+ pound fish and no one chasing them.

I'm happy to pass along detailed info to anyone willing to kill every wretched one they can legally.

I love stripers but they've crossed the line and need to be beaten back. As of now they're reducing the trout population to dangerously low numbers. Greatest gamefish we have IMO, but they need to be confined to waters where they don't decimate another target species

A bit out of the way for me but I would love to get on some big rockfish like that. I do know a couple spots closer to home though. Not sure if they've been catching em lately

Don`t know if I can get my 14 ft fiber glass tri hull with a 40 in there safely. Would if I could. Love to fish the Clinch but afraid to put my boat in it. Nephew and I are keepin our eyes open for a cheep 14 ft john boat to use with his 6hp motor.

I agree with you Setterman! Every time I go to that part of the river and kill a big trout it always has trout in its stomach. Every trout over 20" should be killed! (legally of course)

Can anyone provide a little more information on these fish. I have only fished the clinch a few times, however I just recently moved very close to it. Do you catch these fish when they Re pulsing I crossed the 61 bridge last week and it looked incredibly shallow. Are there any deep holes up past the bridge? I am from the Chesapeake Bay Area and would love to get back on some striper

Give me a shout. I'll take you up there.

Model 70 man,

I will give you a shout in about two weeks when the semester is over for me. I certainly do appreciate the invite. Thank you!!

If anyone is headed out there for either browns or rockfish I'm game. Give me a little notice and I can go Saturday through mid day on Monday. I have been wanting to try some new water. I'm coming from Clarksville though so it is a drive.

Where do you see them at. Are they in deep holes past the 61 bridge. I have never been up that way but it looks shallow lookin off the 61 bridge? Any help greatly appreciated fellas

it is very shallow upstream of the 61 bridge

I know the trout are there. I just have never seen strikers that shallow before

They are in there. Here is a little one I caught. There are shallow pools when the water is low. When the water rises they go nuts feeding on everything that swims.

The ones we've been targeting are above 61 bridge a few miles, below peach orchard a couple of miles, and below the interstate.

You can run almost any sized boat up the river when it's generating, when it's off it isn't worth the effort to chase the stripers.

We whacked the poop out of them this weekend, and luckily took a bunch out of the river where they won't ever have the chance to kill trout again. Biggest fish was 47lbs, and most everyone was over 30 lbs.

Normally I am 100% catch and release no matter what I'm after, but there's nothing more satisfying than beating a stripers skull in and throwing it into the cooler.
