Long beards started showing up and strutting this week. Hens hang out around here pretty much year round. This one woke us up this morning yakking away out in the yard...

Andy S. I took that out the bedroom door. I had to be pretty sneaky getting the door opened up real quiet like, and then just stuck my phone/camera out the crack in the door and took the pic.. They had actually spooked a bit before I got that shot cause there were probably 5 or 6 hens out there when I looked out.. They heard that door crack and new something weren't right.. Sneaky yard birds they are..
Good stuff, I thought those hens had already got in the "get out of dodge" mode, which you confirmed.
Saw 2 strutting in Lebanon today with about 30 hens out in a field.
