Well went out today (this is my 3rd time) turkey hunting. The first two times I didn't see any birds. Today I was covered up with them. Had hens all over, three jakes struting and then the toms showed up. Seven in all. I shot at 25 yards and missed - but my buddy Jon picked up my slack and killed one. Rougly a 10 inch beard, 1 inch spurs. It was a great morning.
After turkey hunting and before the rain came in we went into the woods by the creek bottom and found about 30 morels.
