Tactacam Reveal Reviews??

I have two of them and so far pretty happy. So far the only thing I question is the camera motion sensitivity. Battery life appears to be good, app is simple, and pictures transmitted are not pixelated even if you zoom in some. YMMV

Mine tales great pictures but the service at my lease is not good do it wont send me pictures to my phone so that sucks but pictures are good

Too sensitive or slow?

I was initially concerned that the camera wasn't sensitive enough (animals moving by without triggering camera) but I believe that is not the case. I'm happy with the product overall

To date, mine triggers as good as any Reconyx I own.

I've been buying loads of cams this past year and I've gotta say they are incredibly better than they were 5 years ago at even half the price a similar one would have cost. I genuinely can't fathom why anyone would own a reconyx anymore

I don't think I'd spend over $150 for a trail camera anymore

Trail cameras have come a loooong way, that is for sure. With that said, I have five cameras that are 10+ years old that still work. All five of them are Reconyx. It's hard to argue with that track record when you amortize the money spent over the life of the camera. I also enjoy supporting fellow American workers when I can swing it.

That is impressive. I've wasted a lot of time even more importantly than money on camera checks just this year only to find the camera didn't work properly

I'm new to the cellular cameras so this may be a dumb question. Does it matter what cell phone service I have have (sprint) if I'm using the app to receive pictures. I see the camera says it operates on Verizon and ATT but I'm guessing my service doesn't matter if using the app? Thanks gents!

^^^Correct, your cell phone service has no bearing on the app or the type of cellular camera (ATT, Verizon, US Cellular, etc) you purchase. These cameras and their app will work on any smartphone that has app capability.

Update on my AT&T Tactacam Reveal. Energizer Lithium batteries just died, they lasted 60 days on a well established salt lick. Camera was set on 3 shot burst and 1 minute delay/quiet period between triggers. It took 12,200 photos (27GB worth @ 12MP setting) and transmitted 4,000 of them to the app. That equates to 67 photos sent to my app a day. Not bad IMO.

Why only 1/3 transmitted? First of the burst shot?

I think I read that it does the 2nd image of a 3 photo burst. Don't hold me to it
