Tactacam Reveal users ?

I got one along with the solar panel as a Christmas gift from my kids several years ago. While I'm not a fan of the camera itself or the whole cellular thing, I've not done anything since I got it except move it a couple times. It's been out 24/7/365 for about three years now and still sending me pictures & shows 100% battery.

Simply put, the solar battery flat out will save you batteries. I'm planning on buying several more to run some of my high traffic SD cams that eat batteries up. Probably not going to save you anything on a cam that only takes a few pics now & then but if you're watching a mineral site or busy scrape you'll be happy to have the solar battery.

I'm somewhat a newbie. I have 3 of them with the cheapest batteries I could find with the solar panels. They've been going about 9 months with no battery changes . One has said low battery but after a sunny day, no problem. They take a lot of pictures too. I think the solar panels are the ticket .

Depends on the intent/use of camera, and more importantly, the ease of access to the camera/time involved to replace batteries. I currently use Eneloop rechargeable for "low activity/ease of access" where I can typically get 6-8 weeks of photos, Energizer Max for "mid activity/mild difficulty accessing the camera" where I can 8-12 weeks of photos, and Energizer Lithiums for all other applications (high activity/PITA to access). Outside of a solar panel, Lithiums are the gold standard, but they are costly. I buy in bulk at Sam's Club or smaller 6-8 packs at any Bucees location. Remember fuel cost and how much you value your free time when considering replacing batteries. Good luck!

I have 3 of the SK models. As long as they get a decent amount of sunlight and you aren't taking 100's of pics in succession, it will last for months and months.
