I've been lucky enough to have my best season ever. After my x-bow kill, I really had no expectations of killing another buck. Well that all changed Thursday evening. I set up just before the rain was moving out and just as I had hoped , I had deer start moving about 30 minutes before dark. Had a doe and two yearlings come out and feed off, then about 10 minutes later another doe and yearling came out being harassed by a 2.5 yr old 6 pt. A few minutes later I noticed he was looking back into the woods where they had came from, and then this guy came out. He took about 3 steps and the 6pt tucked tail and ran. I could see he was definitely mature, debated on shooting, but after studying his body size I decided to take him. He had some type of injury, I assume from fighting. As you can see in the pic, he had a huge puss pocket around his left antler. Didn't smell bad, but it was gross. Field dressed at 150, and scored 115". It's been a great year for mature bucks. It'll Be a year I won't soon forget
