Can we win a game against KY this year?I was hoping Illinois would beat them because I don't think we can beat KY.
Thank you for that amazing insight! Many people were probably thinking this WAS the regular season and it was double elimination. You cleared it up!You have to remember. This is NOT the regular season. One single loss and you are done until next year, it's over.

I like it too. UT WAS the favorite in BOTH regular season games. You know, i almost made a reply when I first read his comment, but I know KY bball fans live on another planet, so I decided against it.
BTW, when I looked yesterday, we were 4.5 pt favorites. I have no idea how they set those spreads, but I like it.
I think Richard Vitale lit a fire under his asssss when he repeatedly said that Lanier needed to be moving more to get open and not just stand there and wait for the ball to come to him. If an 85 year old guy with 3-4 types of cancer can notice it , everyone else could. I personally think he is being more active in trying to get open since then.Lanier had 10 and 15 pts in the two losses.
We need a better game from him, which will take some pressure off of the others.
Hopefully ZZ won't go out with an L to them.
I just wish Gainey's 3 ball was a little more consistent. He's very streaky.Gainey is my favorite player on the team, the intensity and toughness changes when he gets on the floor. He needs a good game to pull some attention off of Lanier and Zeigler.
Phillips is better in the paint, but Igor is a threat from the outside and has a pretty good 3 ball. I feel like Phillips plays more of a center/forward hybrid position and Igor plays more of a guard/forward hybrid. I love watching Phillips play. He looks undersized and outmanned in the paint a lot of the time, but nobody plays tougher. As he continues to bulk up he will only get better.I would rather Phillips start over Milicic. He usually has foul trouble but the athleticism is noticeably different.
