Before the cam cleat and the rope mod and the hang free aider I was using 1/8in amsteel aider I made and 1/8in amsteel that came with skeletors for attaching stick around the figure 8 button on stick. This method was much harder to undo and reattach to tree, would get caught on bark, and I slipped off the amsteel aider one day and decided right then to rethink how I was doing it and what I was using.
Tiny amsteel and my boots are a no go, a good quality sewn aider is much safer imo. I have the bigbob with their 3 step aider and it works great!
That is the ONLY downfall of how I am set up right now. I need a sewn aider. The amsteel is fine, but I know I would light a sewn aider a lot more.
I've got a set like yours with the platform on top of the stick. If you want them they are yours if you need extras cause I do owe ya. I got myself some Latitude carbon sticks with amsteel aiders so I'm good to go. I have em stealth stripped and all.
