That Pop Tart trophy

i went with miami because I knew ward was going to play. Then he sits down after the half…

Ridiculous. If you are going to finish then finish!!

So he played the first half, then opted out? Wtf is that? He would NOT have walked my sideline.
cam ward was playing a great first half. then sat down the second half.

When miami settled for a second fg to go up 6 instead of getting the TD, which they would have with ward as QB. I kinda knew then that it was over, because miamis defense wasn't stopping iowa state.

I believe 2 of the canes players got in a fight on the sidelines ,that speaks volumes about how much of a team they are
I have despised Miami for decades. I remember the 1992 season when Miami trash talked Bama before their upcoming NC game against the Tide. They were trounced 34-13 and in a later interview Toretta said the first half was a blur and that he had no memory of the 2nd half.

Back on topic, something has to be done to tie players to every game of that season. The NIL and Transfer Portal are proving to be monumentally bad decisions for the game of college football.

I was in college and we were in New Orleans playing a flag football tournament after Christmas. Couple of guys with us were bama fans and said they were going to the Sugar Bowl and try to buy tickets. A guy asked them how much they'd pay to get in and they asked what face value on tickets were. He said how much will you pay and I think they said $50 each. He told them to put them money in the last person's hand and follow him. He went up to a gate and told the girl working it "these right here". They all walked in without a ticket so depending on how many they did like that they made bank. My buddies stood and watched the entire game.

With his team clinging to a 31–28 halftime lead over the Iowa State Cyclones in Saturday's Pop-Tarts Bowl, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward decided that his college career was done, as he elected to sit out of the second half of the contest after a terrific final half of his college football career.

Ward, who set the Division I passing touchdowns record in the first half, surpassing former Houston Cougars quarterback Case Keenum with 156 career touchdown passes. Ward would ultimately throw the 157th and 158th touchdown passes of his career before exiting the game.
