Hes told that story before. Several times. He did add some more detail to it this time that he has never shared. Great story.

Seemed to all work out great for him and for ALABAMA. Turned out he was Better than Bear Bryant. Who saw that coming? No one!
 
I thought the implication was: the mistake was leaving college football for the NFL. He might have won a bunch more had he stayed but that's the part of what makes successful people successful: they take risks and make stuff work when all others give up. Recognize your strengths and utilize them instead of making excuses.

He says exactly that. Which would he rather be? And he says Bear Bryant. We'll he exceeded that. So I would say he is comfortable in that decision. LOL
