was wading a 3.5 mile stretch of a creek yesterday fly fishing. I started early, maybe 530am. As I come to one bend in the river there were turkeys roosted along the creek for a good several hundred yards of the creek. A lot of them started putting and flying away. Made me think of getting up early to watch em fly down so I could hunt em (well in one case I didn't wait for fly down 
) I think there were some poults but if so they have gotten big and almost look like full size turkeys now. The stretch of creek ran along one side of a property I really want to hunt, but haven't got a chance to meet or talk to the farmer yet. If I were lucky enough to get permission it would be awesome hunting along that creek.
