there is some pretty good largemouth fishing in the steam plant lake, and i've heard that crappie are in there along with redears. prob around Beech Creek. some fish ladders would be nice! we used to catch the occasional white bass up below Patrick Henry and in the sluice around Long Island when i was a kid. still a few crappie in the river along the park.

I'm curious also what species would have kept a lake from being a WORLD CLASS smallmouth/ walleye lake! And what evidence to prove that!!

I'm thinking it was alewives....They eat a lot of the fry from lots of species of fish
