Like Orrin said....You can get a bottle of pemethrin at Co-Op for about 7 bucks. I forget the mixture rate, but its something like an ounce per gallon of water. We just bought a plain ole spray bottle, mixed it up, and never found one tick on us all of last year starting in June when we bought the stuff. It really works

that's what i have been doing for several years. that $7 pint bottle will mix enough to last the rest of my life.

I agree with this method but one must be aware that shelf life of permethrin is about 5 years. I suggest buying some and sharing it with friends/family so the 5 year suspense will not be an issue. It is a lot cheaper to buy it bulk and mix yourself. I also suggest mixing a little stronger if the permethrin is older (3-5 years).

i wasn't aware of the shelf life. our entire hunting group has been using my mix for 3 or 4 years and i still have about 4 ounces left out of the original pint.
