Tikka t1x vs cz 457 varmit

Which one and why

That would likely come down to barrel lottery, or could very well come down to it. Both those are great entry level competition guns IMO.

That said, I've got a CZ 457 VPT that I use for my competition rig, and I know @Remi has a Tikka T1X that he uses for his, and there's not much difference in the performance at all on any given day between the two from what I've been able to tell, both shooting their choice of ammo.

Yeah, good and bad with both. I tried the cz train and I stepped off of it and picked up a 2nd tikka. Barrel lottery is a great description for factory rifles.

I shoot against a lot of mtr's, varmints and pro varmints.


My cz was a constant headache and honestly I don't care for the feel of them. All the cz guys hate the feel of my T1x's.

If you could find a few to try out and get a feel of that would be a good idea.
