He misses 7 of 10 throws of 20 yards are more including tonight. He was 0-3 tonight, over throwing be 5-8 yards.
 
Just like I said, UT didn't have the defensive front to pressure Beck which allowed him to pick apart secondary.

Zero sacks and zero tackles for loss for UT. Ole Miss has FAST defensive linemen which caused Beck to be hurried all game long, big big difference.

I don't remember what everyone picked for UT's record, but this has been a good season record-wise.
 
Out ref'd, but Vols were also out coached and out played both sides of the ball. Opportunities were there on offense Vols couldn't take advantage. D didn't show up. We knew the Vols offense was anemic, but the defense has been stout all year, except tonight. Sampson did get his 100yrd game, that was good. Overall good season no matter where Vols end up. 2003 since TN beat FL/BAMA/GA in the same year - 2 out of 3 aint bad.

I use to like him and not sure what it is but here lately he gets on my nerves. He and Fowler couldn't get out of their own way salivating over Georgia. It was Georgia this and Georgia that. Give them their due but call the freaking game instead of having a love fest over a team.

We did not try to establish the run game early enough. That was always going to be one of the keys to victory in my mind.

Also we executed the hurry up offense perfectly on the opening (scoring) drive and then abandoned it for the majority of the game.
 
Tn coach will never beat Georgia if he won't do the things to beat Georgia. How many teams followed the blue print to beat Georgia this year? And What in all his wisdom did the coach do? Nah, let's don't do that.

I should have included this in my first post. I did not factor the biased officiating. Twitter has numerous blatant examples.

It was a winnable game. But you have to give Bobo credit, as he made some great calls, and his players executed, to get some mismatches against our defense. Something snapped in Beck and all of a sudden he was his old self again making some great throws.

Our OLine was once again a weakness. Anyone who wants to blame Nico is an IDIOT :D !

Most of the playoff prediction articles this morning still have us in the playoff, with us possible playing at Bama or at GA.

I'm all for it as long as it isn't SEC officials calling the game.
 
The Arkansas loss is what's gonna keep the Vols from the playoffs. Should've never lost that one but it is what it is.

Couple more thoughts on last night:
1 why did they not blitz? Zero pressure on Beck makes him look like the Heisman winner
2 best offensive play was lining Kitselman up at fullback and handing him the ball for the touchdown. Nobody was expecting that.

I'll just say it was a wild swing of expectations for me-
Going in I thought we had a chance, but wasn't overly optimistic. Great start to the game, 10-0 and I am convinced we're going to win. Not blow them out but I thought we're playing well enough we'll get out of here with a W. Couple of crucial mistakes from UT and key plays from GA and UT can't get back on track. I struggle to see any adjustments made in game when we get into a rut, or when the other team counters we just keep on keeping on it seems…frustrating
