I just permission to hunt this small Kentucky property this fall. It's very convenient as it is located between my house and work. This is the only buck I have pictures of, and he just showed up recently.
What do you think on age and score? I'm thinkin strong 3.5, 130ish. He might be tempting with a bow!

I think I'll let the string go if he shows up. I'm thinkin more like 4.5 due to body size/shape.

Thinking about this whole thing, (convenient especially considering the whole 1 buck limit debacle) before last year I wouldn't have given it a second thought either. I killed my first deer 18 years ago in TN and have hunted there until last year when I moved up to KY.

The fact is, a one buck limit has made me more picky. Thoughts like...what if I shoot this one and a 150" comes by in November? The decision of whether or not to shoot is now more critical. Our season lasts from now til into January, and once you kill one buck, you're done. I do happen to prefer a one buck limit. I saw larger deer last season than I've seen in my whole life hunting in TN (I know agriculture and genetics are factors, too).

I didn't bring this up to beat the horse or continue the debate over here. The thought just hit me while I read your comments.

Thanks for the comments! Hopefully I'll have a more personal picture of him soon!

I believe I would have to take him, of course I don't have the same dilimma you have with the 1 buck limit, I guess it would depend on the size of deer that are in that area
