Today should be great

Dead silent where I'm at in TN but the next ridge over is KY and it's on fire. There was a time when both ridges were full of birds but those days are gone

I think I'd be making my way over there.
If I am not mistaken, he's out of tags for that state.

Had a feeling it would be quiet. Still would rather hunt than work today. Cold mornings have not been the ticket this year.

You got a tag I can borrow?

I can usually hear a couple birds before fly down from my house. Yesterday and tues they were on fire but nothing this morning in the cold. My wife texted me yesterday at 10:30am and said that one was going crazy behind the house lol

Walked out my door this morning to go to work about 6:15 in Lincoln Co., and there was one across the road tearing it up. Funny cause that's the first bird I've heard this year anywhere around the house.

I really don't know which is worse...Working when you should be hunting or sitting at home because you have nowhere to hunt.

This morning was better than yesterday, worked on 3 diff. birds. 1 has been consistently roosted, and gobbling for over 2 hours the last 2 mornings. Just over the property line, of course. He came yesterday what I estimate to be 200 yds, I went 100 to the fence line. Still good distance between us. One this morning was under 150yds I believe, the 3rd one was way off over the line.
