Top LB Tim Hart Decommits From Tennessee, Bashes Coaches

Why does it say top linebacker, Hart was a mid level ranked kid. Now I would have liked to keep him cause I like to see UT take instate kids but I understand if they had more talented prospects interested. They still offered him a scholarship, he just wouldn't have been able to do the whole national signing day thing. He will end up at Memphis and probably be a star there.

As mentioned, you would have to asked the person that wrote the article. When you consider that over half (10) of UTs commits are 3 stars. It might not be a stretch... :)

Ha ha. 41-7 gator. 41-7 to the #3 team in the B1G East. I doubt I'll have to wait another 9 years to savor another national championship, but I'm fairly certain you will wait much longer than that.

I wouldn't get all excited on the outcome of a bowl/exhibition game.... :)

I'm relying on a proven fact... :tu:

"...... relying on a proven fact." That's funny. :rotf:

Wow, I didn't realize Hart is a Tennessean. Can't believe the Vols would sell out an in-state kid like that. I wonder if they burned the bridge to that high school?

Well they have two other kids from that high school on the roster and they still offered him a full ride, a blue shirt just means the scholarship takes affect when he enrolled in class, the only difference is he would be able to participate in all the national signing day stuff

Accepting a blue shirt offer takes a lot of faith on the player's part. He has to forego his other scholarship offers, then essentially walk-on to the team without any signed scholarship offer until after practice starts. I can see how that may cause a little insecurity for the player and require a little extra TLC from the coaches.

From what I've heard on local sports radio, it doesn't look like Hart realized it was a blue-shirt offer until recently. Also, it looks like his big unofficial visit was during the Arkansas game, and due to the circumstances the coaches weren't able to spend much time with the recruits. Unfortunate, but hopefully it will work out best for all involved.

Coaching staff stopped recruiting him so he would go elsewhere.. Happens every year.. This guy just hasn't got his big girl panties pulled up yet and got his feelings hurt
