training shed dog material

Does anybody know some good material for training a shed dog?

Hope u got a retriever? The hardest thing about training a antler dog is having the right dog. Does it have a "hunt" drive? If the dog will hunt your well ahead of the game. It's hard to teach a dog to hunt an inanimate object!! That being said, start by playing with you dog with a antler and only an antler! Antlers have to be the most important thing in their lives. Make it fun and reward. Hide antlers in the field, let it rain to cover your scent. Go hunt them get the dog in the right area let her find them, then play with her with the antler. That's a start, anything else cost you about $30 and will tell u the same thing.

She is a lab/retriever mix and we got her Friday. Saturday night she had an antler to chew on so the training has begun! Will definetly be patient and work her on some good habits. Thanks for the web info!
