Tried The Cresting Stuff Today!

They didn't turn out perfect but they look pretty good. Would've been a whole lot easier without the fletchings on! The only thing wrong is the paint did not get up close to the fletchings. Oh well! Practice makes perfect!

Looks great! I bought some small hardware pieces, that I didn't have, and will have a cresting jig ready at some point this weekend made out of stuff I have lose in the garage. Did you use a laquer based paint for the base coat?
 
awesome man! it took me a while to get my style down and i dont use a jig just tape, but i LOOK FORWARD (hint hint) to getting the TN DEERGUY over the next week or so when my arrows come in to do some more.

Yes, I used the Rust-oleum laquer white for my base. Then I went back with a can of Krylon fusion for plastics in orange for my fade.

If I only hadn't read that darn post that REN started about cresting arrows, none of this would have ever started! lmbo! :D
Oh well... I love to tinker with stuff, especially when it comes to archery!

hahaha what i posted ended up nothing like what i thought i typed LMBO.

it was meant to say i look forward to using TNDEERGUY's jig to do mine when my arrows come in.

I don't think my jig will work with weight forward designed arrows... LOL ;) :D
