Trolling motor recommendations

If there is any possible way you can get a 2nd battery in there to run a 24v, I would do it. I put a 70lb 24v on my 14ft boat and never felt like it was too much motor. Plus the peace of mind knowing I can run all day no problem and chase down fish in the jumps when I need to was totally worth it.

That said if you absolutely cannot fit a 2nd battery, there is nothing wrong with the MK or MG base models. I would just get a 55lb thrust and a group 31 battery.

Bought a Minn Kota Maxxum 55 foot control today. Its 12 volt and has the Maximizer and is variable speed. Thanks for every bodies input and advice.
