Hows there arrows and broadheads? If not any suggestions, I have been looking at Epics and havent found any fixed blade broadheads I like yet. I am looking to increase penatration. So do I want a heavier arrow? I have a
Bear Element
28 in draw
70lb draw
Carbon Storm arrows
2 Blade Rage Broadheads

I am just paranoid that my rage heads are opening when I release my string....is there anyway to tell for sure....I will research the slick tricks thanx!

What yall think of st epics and mx 3s with 2in blazer vanes....good combo?

Slick Tricks are better flying heads than Muzzy MX 3's in my opinion.

+1 for the slick tricks.

I know someone that likes the mx3 okay.

I still LOVE slick tricks, my dad shoots g3 strikers and they do a number also.

I was looking at the grizztrick...u shot them yet? I read that slick tricks fly like a fieldpoint. I heard 4 blade BH are hard to tune, I am a noob to arrow tuning.

Havent shot the grizz trick.

I dont buy the hard to tune especially with the slick tricks.

Muzzys and thunderheads sometimes flew erratic in my setup, switched to slick tricks and they fly much better.

3 blade or 4 blade , both rely on a well tuned bow to achieve optimum arrow flight . Large broadheads tend to wind plane more at higher speeds , and if the bow tune is slightly off , broadheads will tend to steer in the direction the arrow flight is off.
Slick tricks, G5 Strikers, and other low profile broadheads offer fixed blade penetration and strength with excellent arrow flight characteristics.

I like the G5 Strikers as well as the Slick Trick Magnum 100 gr.

I got a guy at a local bowshop to set it up. From what I read paper tuning should be the one thing that aint been done.

I prefer broadhead tuning or walkback tuning for final setup . Paper tuning is fine for initial setup ,but can give false readings and become a lesson in futility.

I shoot the X-Force with 78 KE lbs and have never had the blades open up in flight. You are good to go

maybe its something I am doing a barely bump the rage head and they seem to come open. Do they snap into place? how do you know they closed all they way. I got 5 unopened packs I would like to comtinue using them. Though I am definatelt still gonna tune my bow. i am pretty good now out to 40 yards. If I make sure I got good arrow flight I could probably shoot tighter groups. Out past 30 yards they start getting wider.

You can feel the blades lock into place. Bump them after they are locked to see if they pop out. I've had one or two that wouldn't lock all the way
