Trying a little heavier

Been playing around with the bitzenburger jig decided to go Smokey gray and orange for obvious reasons

Was shooting 465grain arrow at 290 fps

New arrow is 540grains should be low to mid 270 fps

Should give me plenty of penetration

I've not regretted going heavier in arrow weight. At the ranges I take my hunting shots, the trajectory differences have been negligible.

By moving way up in arrow weight (because of dropping draw weight on my bows), penetration has been impressive.

I doubt that you'll regret it either.

I've not regretted going to a 550 grain set up at all. I'm much more confident if I see a deer, hog, or bear.

I guess I'm in the minority tried heavy for a year and didn't like it nor like the gaps between pins. Went back lighter. That'll rip through something for sure.

You're not alone. I shoot 400gr.
